Phil. in Neurosurgery from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne – UK and was the First Asian to get M. Phil. from University of Newcastle upon Tyne - UK. The topic of his Thesis was Intracranial Pressure, Cerebral Oedema and Ischemia with Intracranial Haematoma.
In the year 1989 Dr. Prakash Modha reached Rajkot and started his practice in Neurosurgery along with Dr. D. P. Dholakiya and also at Unique Hospital, Rajkot.
