Dear Dr. Mohan KameswaranI learned the demise of Dr.S. Kameswaran. He was a brilliant surgeon, very good teacher, researcher, academician and renowned humanist. He was always kind to his students and colleagues and other team members. He gave recognition to ENT as a specialty when no one gave importance to that. He built ENT teaching and today many ENT surgeons are spread all across the country because of his tireless work that span for many decades. In particular in Tamilnadu ENT surgeons' services are available readily without travelling for long distances because of his effort to make the training system to reach remote area of the state. He picked right students from scattered crowd and launched them to illustrious career. His students are spread all over the world delivering the skills he taught. When I was discouraged by others not to do Neurosurgery after ENT surgery, I went to him. He said "Listen to me, Join" That changed my course to make ENT and Neurosurgery as my career. His services will be remembered and he will remain in history for ever.Chandru
