Dr.Dilip Rangarajan is the Head of Nephrology at NU hospitals. He has completed his MBBS, MD and DNB(Nephrology) from the prestigious Madras Medical College. He pioneered the Nephrology unit at Sundaram Medical Foundation, Chennai in 1994 and headed the unit there till 2001. He took over his current role in February 2001 and has been instrumental in developing the department. He has vast experience in handling critical care nephrology patients, renal transplantation and patients with combined nephrological and urological problems. He is actively involved in teaching and also in the internal audits related to NABH in the institution. He runs courses for dialysis technicians and also fellowship in renal dialysis. He has delivered invited lectures in the Southern chapter of Indian Society of Nephrology and has chaired various sessions. He holds memberships in Indian Society of Nephrology, Southern Chapter of Indian Society of Nephrology and International Society of Nephrology.
