Dr. Kiran Chandra Patro is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at NU Hospitals. After completing his MBBS, he trained for DNB in General Medicine and DNB in Nephrology. With over 10years of experience in Nephrology and about 15years experience in the field of medicine, he has published his work in various journals and is an active participant in the national and south Indian chapter of the Nephrology association. He is also a lifetime member of the Indian society of Nephrology. His special interest is in hypertension, diabetes related renal problems, renal dysfunction, glomerular diseases and renal replacement therapy (all forms of dialysis and renal transplantation). He also has teaching experience having taught and trained nephrology students, dialysis fellows, dialysis trainees and nephrology nurses. He is also keen in preventive nephrology and loves to promote the understanding of kidney diseases in the society, for which he has participated in multiple mass media programs.
