I was working as a registrar in the ICU of a hospital where sir was a visiting specialist. While reading out a patient's case paper, he asked me to elicit some reflexes on the patient. I couldn't do it very well. Dr. Deshpande sir showed me the proper way to do it. He, patiently, went through the basics and told me to practice it well. This took more than thirty minutes. I was just out of medical college and was awestruck by the way he made me understand it so well. I asked myself, what did he gain by spending time in explaining me the basics? He could have examined 3-4 patients in that duration. Do super specialists do that? Someone would have just ignored me or would have told me to read my books!! " Dr. Dilip Kiyawat is one of the best Neurosurgeon we have ever met. My father Thomas Varghese had severe pain and was unable to walk from last 8 months..his left leg was not functioning and hardly had any sensation, day by day his condition was getting detoriated. We took him for several tests and physiotherapies but everything was in vain, lastly we met Dr. Kiyawat, (visiting Doctor of Sainath hospital and full time doctor at Jehangir Hospital) and from there the diagnosis which he made was fruitful and positive. My father was supposed to undergo a measure spinal cord surgery but again he returned back to his room from the surgery room and was advised to undergo a angiograph..By the Grace of God and Dr. kiyawat's guidance he overcame this phase. " My experience was excellent with Dr. Nilesh Bhandari. My mother was admitted to N.M. Wadia hospital, Pune last month where she suffered stroke attack. She needed to shift to Jehangir Hospital urgently because of the unavailability of facility to treat this decease at Waida hospital. Fortunately Dr. Bhandari was available at Jehangir at that time. He took the the charge and started treatment as quickly as possible. He explained me the risk and benefits in easy language. I was so stressed but doctor was confident about his treatment. Under his guidance and observation my mother came out of risk and today she recovering well. Dr. Bhandari has great expertise of his subject. He didn't advice unnecessary tests or medicines.
