I owe my life to the four most precious people, without whose divine love and care, I would not have been what I am today. My mother N. Saraswathy, father A. Shanmugasundaram , grandmother Ulagammal & late grandfather Arunachalam. Thankful to my grandparents who managed me when parents worked for a living.
I was the first child in the family. What should have been their most delightful moment turned out to be their most depressing one. Yes, I was born with a huge swelling in my spinal cord, which in medical terms is called Lipo-Meningo-Myelocele. I was operated for that when I was just 9 months old. I am moved even today when I imagine how my dear parents must have nurtured me during those initial 9 months till that huge swelling was removed.
This is what I call unconditional love that is showered by parents. I will continue to face certain neurological challenges known only to my close circle of family and friends. But, this life that I lead, and the joy I experience are all because of my beloved parents. Thank you Amma and Appa. I have no words to express my love and gratitude.
