The service allows customers to order groceries from participating retailers with the shopping being done by a personal shopper.  

It allows customers to shop at local grocery stores via a mobile app or their website, creating a virtual shopping cart that is later fulfilled by a “personal shopper” on a designated day.     

User-Friendliness-  People using smartphones know an app should be user-friendly to be useful. The application Instacart appear to fall under this category. This app is colorful and easy to read with a simple interface.   

Availability & Customer Service -    Instacart Users offer same-day delivery in just 2 hours.   Instacart has more widespread availability. It appears in metro areas and the suburban areas surrounding them in all 50 states, as well as 9 Canadian provinces.   

Basically, Instacart offers customer service via live chat or phone and has a dedicated phone line for assisting older adults with their grocery orders.  

How does Instacart work?    Instacart offers you to shop from local grocery stores online and sends a “personal shopper” to fulfill and deliver orders to you the same day. This personal hamper goes to the store, picks up everything on your list, and then drives it to you.   

Cost- Instacart costs $7.99 for one-hour delivery or $5.99 for two-hour or more delivery, though the price can increase at particularly busy times. For free two-hour delivery on orders $35+, you can pay a $149 yearly membership. A tip gets added on automatically.   

How do Instcart shoppers make? Instacart provides an estimate of potential earnings for every order and guarantees shoppers will earn at least $5 for each delivery-only batch and $7-$10 for each full-service batch.
