Our beauty is not judged only by our faces but also by the way we maintain our hands and feet. We mainly wash off our feet if they become noticeably dirty, but barely give extra care to our feet. In this article, I will be focusing on the importance of feet care and intend providing you with some basic tips how to clean and care your feet. Some of the beauty tips for men and women's feet that you should consider are as follows:
Always wash your feet in the tub, shower, or go in for a foot bath at least once a day and scrub between your toes with an antibacterial soap.
Spend some extra minutes washing your heels, ankles, and the sides of your feet to clean them thoroughly.
Dry your feet completely and carefully with a clean towel and be sure to dry your toes and the areas between them. This will help prevent athlete's foot, a fungus that causes itchy, red, flaking skin that can lead to severe complications.
Always use a nail brush to scrub away dirt and grime between your toenails and your skin. Lather the brush thoroughly, scrub and then rinse.
Use a clean pumice stone to smooth the soles and edges of your feet. This will remove the dead skin, prevent infection and the formation of hard calluses.
File your toenails straight across so that they are not longer than your toes, and avoid filing them too short.
Trim toenail cuticles with a clean, sharp cuticle nipper. Never pull out loose skin.
Wear comfortable shoes. This will help your feet breathe.
Moisturize your feet every day with an unscented lotion or foot cream. Be sure to massage cream liberally into rough areas.
Wear clean socks or stockings every day.
Cover your feet at public swimming pools, gyms, saunas, and whirlpools so that they do not pick up fungus or bacteria from the floor.
Always examine your feet for sores, infections, rashes, swelling, blemishes, or corns, and treat them properly.
Sprinkle a light foot talc or cornstarch on your feet. This will help to keep them dry when they're tucked away in your shoes for the day.
Avoid synthetic material because it doesn't allow your feet to breath and will encourage sweating inside your shoes. Natural materials will do the opposite of those synthetic ones, and will help to lower the sweating of the feet.
Fill a bucket or large bowl with warm water and add salt into it. Relax for at least 15 minutes and then rinse your feet in clean- warm water and pat dry.
When you start taking care of your feet, your feet can add amazingly to your charm and beauty. Just like the other parts of the body your feet also require proper attention and care. If both of its requirements are fulfilled then it can not only make you noticeable but also keep you healthy.
