Concentration is required to perceive the things in a better way and to retain them for the longer time. We can also say that concentration is taking your mind off many things and putting it on one thing at a time. Every one of us suffers from the problem of lack of concentration at some point of time in life. Following are some ways and tips which can help you to improve the attention and concentration:
Do only one thing at a time, if you will do so many things at one time then it can be difficult to concentrate, remember multitasking is the enemy of concentration. Try to make a schedule, so that while you are working on one task, nothing else can interfere with it.
Find an appropriate study environment and eliminate the distractions as much as possible. Find a quite area and turn off the cell phones, music players and T.V., clear away anything which you don'tneed and keep the things organized to reduce the stress.
Get rid of worrying thoughts while doing something. If you cannot avoid them then write down these things on the paper, it will help you to concentrate on the work which you are doing.
There are certain foods which can improve the memory and concentration of the person like fish, nuts, oilseeds, blueberries, whole grains, fruits, green leafy vegetables and dark chocolates. Along with these foods one must pay attention on the intake of healthy and nutritious diet. The diet should be well balanced in terms of all the nutrients.
Brahmi is also useful for the improvement of concentration. Brahmi is used as a brain tonic and it rejuvenate the nerves to promote the memory. It also subside the negative effects of the stress and calm down the mind. It contains the nitric oxide which has the positive effects on the brain activity.
Get enough sleep. Studies reveal that the concentration is low in the individuals who take inadequate sleep. 7-8 hours sleep is required for every individual because at that time brain regroups and recuperates. So if the brain will get adequate rest then concentration will come much more easily.
Exercise is another good way to improve the concentration. Exercise help to relieve the stress and sharpen the thinking skills. You can de clutter your mind with the help of exercise. Exercise also increases the blood circulation to each and every part of the body including the brain. More the brain will get oxygenated blood better will be the memory and concentration.
You can also start meditation because it is the best way to improve the concentration. Learn a few simple meditation techniques and practice them at least five minutes daily. A regular meditation can improve the mental clarity and concentration.
Take a break every once in a while. It is very important because it gives you the lost energy and helps to focus on the task. Small breaks can help to refocus and renew the brain.
