Why is it important to use lip balm?

This will replenish your lips overnight, and make them supple and less chapped. While applying lip balm is essential in winters, it is equally important to use it in the summers too. The skin on your lips needs protection from the harsh sun rays too.
-
Is Lip Balm healthy?

It can definitely be habit-forming. Applying Lip balm soothes the lips, and feels good, and it is often comforting. It can lead to an unconscious habit that helps with stress or anxiety, kind of like twirling the hair, and biting the nails.

Natural oils such as coconut oil, grape seed oil, tea tree oil, neem oil, almond oil, and jojoba oil are excellent moisturizers. They are very gentle too, and so perfect for your lips.
-
Why are some lip balms drying?

Lip Balm that contain only humectant ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, and glycerin, can actually make lips more dry because they attract moisture, and if the air is very low in humidity, then they can pull moisture out of the skin, and then the moisture evaporates away.
