Many people think that yoga is just stretching. And it’s true that the form of yoga that is commonly practiced in the west today has a strong focus on physical postures or poses, or more accurately asana, a Sanskrit word, the language of ancient India.
The word yoga means “union” in Sanskrit. The yoga practice aims to unite the mind, body and spirit. The aims and benefits of yoga are varied and range from improving health and physical fitness to achieving mental clarity and spiritual enlightenment.

I first began my journey with yoga just under a decade ago. I fell in love with the practice instantly and the beginning of my teaching career manifested in the summer of 2012. I have completed many trainings over the years from my 200hr TT in Ashtanga/Vinyasa back in 2012, 300hr advanced TT, Yin yoga training, Yoga Detour method trainings and Mat Pilates plus many more. I am extremely passionate about the body and value the importance of continuously under-going various trainings and workshops to upskill and grow as a teacher and as a student. The learning never stops for me, I love to ask the why behind everything so that I can understand the process more clearly which allows me to share and teach from a more educated place. I hope to provide my students with deeper understanding and interest in their bodies and what it feels like to move well. I focus on creating classes that are well rounded with the right amount of strength, mobilty, mindful movement, flexibility, breath awareness and relaxation. My classes are taught in a way that helps me bring my students on a purposeful journey through movement and breath.
