Pregnancy isn't directly calculated based on weeks alone, especially at the early stages like 1 week. Here's why:

Instead of using weeks alone, here are two ways to track pregnancy progress:

1. Days from your LMP: This is the most common method, with pregnancy typically lasting 280 days (40 weeks) on average. However, individual variations exist.
2. Ultrasound measurements: Early ultrasounds can measure the embryo's size and development, providing a more accurate estimate of gestational age compared to simply counting days from your LMP.
