In women, this may involve vaginal lubrication, swelling of the clitoris and labia, and increased breast size and nipple erection.

3. Orgasm: This is the peak of sexual excitement, characterized by intense pleasure and involuntary muscle contractions. Orgasms can vary greatly in intensity and duration.
4. Resolution: This is the final stage of sexual response, where the body returns to a relaxed state. Heart rate and breathing slow down, muscle tension eases, and the genitals return to their unaroused state.

It's important to note that this is a linear model, but sexual arousal isn't always so clear-cut. People may experience these stages in a different order, or some stages may be skipped altogether.

1. Emotions: Feeling loved, desired, and secure can all contribute to sexual arousal. Conversely, stress, anxiety, or depression can make it difficult to become aroused.
