In today's busy and fast world we have to come across certain stresses. You can say it work stress, home stress or emotional stress. Deep breathing exercises: Deep Breathing exercises are good way to relax. They are simple but very effective method of relaxation. It reduces tensions and relieves stress. This is because when you breathe deeply it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. It decreases the heart rate and high blood pressure. So next time when you feel stressed out try to take deep breathe at least for 10 minutes. You can do it by following these simple steps:
Sit quietly and comfortably. Close your eyes and focus your attention on your breathing. Breathe in deeply and then let your breath out. Count your breaths and say the number of breath as you let it out this will help you to avoid distraction.
Eat properly: If you eat properly then it will help you to be mentally and physically fit. You can cope up with the stress easily and can feel fresh also. Make your diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain cereals, Oats, cottage cheese, yogurt, walnut, almonds, strawberry, ginger, asparagus, fish, flaxseeds, essential fatty acids and proteins rich. These foods contain active ingredients which help to balance mind and body and this is a scientifically proven fact now. Plus avoid the intake of excess caffeine, alcohol and cigarette smoking as they give temporarily relief.
Get enough sleep: Proper sleep is required for the overall well being of the person. Best sleep time is between 11:00 pm to 2:00 am. So try to sleep in that time and if you miss that time sleep your body can not get rejuvenation. Sleep for at least 6 to 8 hours as this is required for everyone. If you feel difficulty in sleep then try some breathing exercises or meditation before going to the bed. This will help you to calm down and you can sleep properly.
Take a hot bath: Hot bath relaxes the body muscles and avoid stiffness and sore joints. This stimulates the blood circulation and calms the nervous system. In our busy lives sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves and a simple bath can help us to relax and rejuvenate. Benefits of baths are also mentioned in the ayurveda and they were used for the treatment of many diseases. There are some special baths which are used for detoxification and rejuvenation.
Music: Music plays a big role in minimizing the stress. Listening to relaxing music is a great method of reducing stress and relieving anxiety. The calm, soothing sounds will reduce the tensions, blood pressure and promote a feeling of happiness. So next time when you feel low enjoy listening to your favorite music as this will help you a lot to reduce the stress level.
