I have been to many doctors in my life as someone who is immunocompromised, and I can confidently say Dr. Hillelsohn is one of the BEST doctors I have ever seen. I walked into his office with a kidney infection, high heart rate, intense fever, after being discharged from the hospital. He saved my life and vouched for me. He has displayed such an incredible amount of care and is so personable with his patients, and truly wants to get to the bottom of what is going on. I have a great deal of respect for him and could not recommend him enough. I wish I could rate him more than 5 stars - he is a phenomenal doctor with exceptional bedside manners.

Dr. Samir Taneja is brilliant, compassionate and empathetic. Dr. Taneja performed a Radical Robotic Prostatectomy on my husband (Gleason 7) in June of 2023. The Dr. and he’s entire staff included us in every step of the process. We truly felt us if we were on the care team. We were well informed about every test and procedure prior to/after the surgery. We received (via the NYU Portal/App) appointment/test reminders, procedural information, stress/meditation videos and etc. Due to us being well informed we knew that it was important to follow ALL of the care instructions provided. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread outside of the Prostate so a larger margin had to be removed. Fortunately for my husband Dr. Taneja performed his surgery. After the catheter was removed my husband never experienced leakage. Eleven days after surgery my husband experienced his first erection. The quality of the erection wasn’t the best but it was a great start. My husband and I believe his speedy recovery was due to Dr. Taneja’s skill and my husband following his care plan provided by the dr. We can’t say enough about Dr. Taneja and his entire staff. He’s not the type of Dr. that’s going to tell you a bunch of jokes, so if you prefer jokes over skill (which is the equivalent to life or death) he is not the dr for you. We highly recommend Dr. Samir Taneja.
